Failing Over & Over? Here's What You're Missing
In this video we discuss why most people fail over and over again, and how they can turn it into success.
Most people wonder why they go through life and fail at everything time and time again, while it seems that some people excel at anything and everything they set their mind to. What those people know that you don't is that there are 3 tests that you need to pass in order to achieve success in any field, and the most important of those tests is the test of failure. In fact there are 4 important principles that you must abide by in order to pass the test of failure, which we go over in this video.
A common misconception that people have is that failure and success are seperate and opposite things. In reality, this is not quite the case. As a matter of fact, in most cases failure is part of success, and in order to go from failure to success you need to adopt the right success mindset. Instead, what most people do is that they adopt a failure mindset, and assume that failing at one thing means that they themselves are a failure, and that there is no way forward but to quit and accept the result. This could not be farther from the truth. Any venture is like a sports game; missing one shot or making one wrong play doesn't mean that you lose the game, it just means that you missed that one shot or made that one bad play. The same goes for failure in almost any field; failing once doesn't mean that it's game over, but rather that you missed one shot and you gotta try again.
The main reason why most people perceive failure as this massive horrible thing is that we have all been conditioned from a young age boy the school system that failing is a horrible thing; that if you fail, you get a big red F on your paper, you are embarrassed in front of your classmates, you are grounded by your parents, etc. In real life however, failing is actually a very good thing, as it is the only way to make progress and get closer to success. "I didn't fail, I just found 10,000 ways not to make a light bulb." -Thomas Edison
Instead of lamenting every failure, you need to be a good coach to yourself. Think of what a good personal trainer would do if you missed a day, or did an exercise wrong; a good trainer would hold you accountable, but also encourage you to try again, to go again tomorrow, to give it another go. Anytime you end up spiralling into a failure mindset, you need to remind yourself to be a good coach to yourself, and encourage you to go again and try once more at it.
