Douglass Mackey was arrested and tried with "Conspiracy Against Rights" by the Department of Justice for tweeting a MEME that suggested a person could cast their vote by text. He was convicted by a jury and sentenced to 7 months prison time for this crime, based on an 1870 law that was meant to protect the voting rights of blacks.

Anyone with a brain realized it was a joke, but the Feds hated Douglass because of his support for Donald Trump.
