That One Friend Who Thinks He's a Lawyer

On June 28th, 2022, officers were dispatched in response to objects on fire along a sidewalk. Upon arriving on the scene, they found that someone had piled up election signs and set them on fire. They were soon informed that a young man was setting signs on fire nearby. While the officers were questioning him, he became aggressive and kicked one of them. They decided to restrain him because he was very aggressive and had also damaged one of the officers' vests. Medics were called to check him, and shortly after, he was taken to a hospital. The man was charged with aggravated battery upon a peace officer, criminal damage to government supported property, resisting arrest and criminal damage to property by starting a fire.
