(This is a very insightful discussion between Glenn Greenwald & Russian philosopher Alexander Dugin. I've always been impressed with Dugin's insights about what has happened & is happening in the world. He has an in-depth understanding of history for many different civilizations. Although he speaks & understands English, one needs to pay close attention since he is also discussing complex issues.
He discusses the differences between globalists & those more focused on traditional family values and how this has created a lot of tension in the world. Both Trump & Putin are fighting against the globalist and are focused on traditional family values, which provides a common area of agreement where the US & Russia can work together.
Both USAID & the Soros networks focused on buying influence and color revolutions. Long ago Russia understood the aim of USAID and outlawed it in their country. Likewise, Trump recently understood the true nature of USAID and is working to eliminate most of its activities.
Pay close attention to how Dugin contrasts "Realism vs Liberalism" and how this affects what is happening in the world.
They spend a lot of time discussing Ukraine and how it came into being after the collapse of the USSR in 1991. They also discussed the 2014 Maidan coup in Ukraine where Victoria Nuland from the US State Department was directly involved and how things got transformed into 'hating' Russia, instead of maintaining a balance between Russia & Europe. Dugin reviewed the many different possibilities of what it means for Russia to 'win' the Special Military Operation in Ukraine and the ramifications for public acceptance in Russia.
Although many in the West think of Putin as a 'dictator', the reality is quite different. He has political factions that must be taken into account. In other words, he doesn't have dictatorial power over these factions. He is even more constrained by the Russian population and what they want. Therefore, he is not free to institute whatever he wants.
Then there is a very insightful discussion about different civilizations, which is plural. Civilizations like Russian, Chinese, Indian, American, and others are all different. What is to say that one civilization is 'better' than another? Maybe we should learn to respect the various civilizations and figure out how to get along? Each civilization believes that their approach is 'right' for them.
There is definitely a lot to digest in this long discussion. — RAD)
