It’s amazing how far I’ve come as an author. I remember as a teenager, I would grab my notebook and bike to a secluded hillside and just write. Mostly it was sheer nonsense and thankfully, I don’t remember one word of the drivel. But I enjoyed the act. Rather, I enjoyed the creativity behind creating stories.

The resulting ideas were nothing good. After all, I was a kid who didn’t know how to organize or write a story. However, fast forward a substantial number of years, and I started learning how to compose a halfway decent story. Unfortunately, while I’ve gotten better, it’s still a long process. When the time came to grab The Grave Countdown for this channel, it didn’t take me long to realize that it needed a bit of love.

So I hurried up and gave it that polish while retaining the spirit of the original draft. While I have a fond memory of the detective, and a plan to feature him, I never did. I’d simply forgotten about him in favor of more complex characters. However, I’ve already taken steps to address that wrong, so keep an eye out for future tales featuring this gruff detective.
