AGENT X11: EP 144: SKIP PRESS: AMERICA'S GOLDEN EON A.G.E.

In this first episode Skip Press, author, screenwriter, professor, educates us on the beginnings of America. We talk about Squanto, who was actually a slave, taken to England. Squanto learned English and when he came back to America, he was able to communicate to the Indian tribes and act as a translator to the English.

We talk about John Winthrop and his premise for America. John felt that if we abandoned God, that God would abandon our nation.

We revisit the Model of Christian Charity, a sermon attributed to John Winthrop, known as the City upon a Hill, and denotes the notion of American exceptionalism.

Winthrop’s Model of Christian Charity gave two rules which his sermon explains:

There are two overriding "rules" which should govern all interactions within a community, "two rules whereby we are to walk one towards another: Justice and Mercy."

John argues that justice and mercy should be exercised by both rich and poor, since both rich and poor have need of them. He summarizes these two rules with an overriding "law," that mankind "is commanded to love his neighbor as himself".

He acknowledges that a person is responsible to make provision for one's family and also for the future,[ but the overriding principle is: "if thou lovest God thou must help [thy brother]."

We examine a prosperous future for America, and aim to focus on the light and God and Justice, for, as Trump stated "A golden Age."
