With thousands of Canadians now in possession of prohibited firearms, a government running out of time, and an election on the horizon, the Liberals are scrambling to roll out their gun buyback/confiscation program—but it’s not going as planned.

Reports show the federal government has offered money to municipal police forces to go door to door, with Winnipeg already being approached. Meanwhile, gun owners are faced with a tough decision: comply with an unclear buyback program or wait for a political shift that could reverse the bans entirely.

Years ago, the media dismissed these warnings as fearmongering—but now, it’s reality. How will this all play out?
