On the evening of September 16, 1977, Robert Lewis Christian, a bright-eyed 18-year-old freshman at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, set out on a short drive from his home in Madison to Baraboo, Wisconsin. A passionate outdoorsman, Robert was eager for a weekend of bow hunting with a friend in the Baraboo Bluffs. After having dinner with his family, he packed his hunting gear and a change of clothes, then drove off in his AMC Hornet station wagon around 5:30 p.m. And was never seen again
