Donald Trump: "We are committed to NATO, but NATO has to step up, and the Europeans have to step up more than they have. And I want to see them match us because they are contributing much less than we are, and they should at least be equal. Do you understand?

Why is the United States—when we have an ocean in between—why is the United States contributing so much more money and other things than Europe? That being said, and as you said, they have obviously been very helpful as well, but we have contributed much more than they have. And I think they should match us."
