Learn to paint like the great Alma Woodsey Thomas to make a painted background paper for our Mary Blair Icy Castle Unit. This video was made with 5th grade in mind but could be easily adapted for any age! We will mix colors, create tints, and practice holding our paintbrush to create the desired effect inspired by Alma Thomas.

Supplies:
Colored Paper (I used light blue construction paper)
Tempera or Acrylic Paint (I used white, turquoise, and blue Crayola tempera but other colors could work too!)
A flat brush (square paintbrush) Different sizes will change the overall look. (I recommend Royal & Langnickel)
