Thomas Paine's Common Sense and America in Prophecy

With all the flattering words Trump had for King Charles recently, whom he's scheduled to meet with soon. As well as Trump's bizarre depiction of a golden statue reminiscent of the one erected by Nebuchadnezzar in the video he put out called "Trump Gaza", which seems to fit with his promise of ushering in a new "Golden Age" for America.

I thought it was a fine time to revisit some of the wisdom of Thomas Paine's "Common Sense", which itself was highly influenced by the early biblical beliefs of Protestant Americans. Some of the old wisdom, from the history of monarchies to prophetic symbolism used in the bible to describe at the time what was a new nation with a form of government the world had never seen. So much of this has been erased from the minds of most modern Americans. So I think it's important we refresh our minds from time to time, and remember the lessons of history, lest we repeat the same blood-soaked past.
