About the Haus der Statistik:
Built between 1968 and 1970, the Haus der Statistik once housed the GDR's State Central Administration for Statistics. After German reunification, the building remained in use until 2008, when it was abandoned. Despite plans to demolish the structure, the Berlin Senate acquired the complex in 2017, preventing its destruction.
