And Then They Were Gone!

My wife and Visited Loess Bluffs National Wildlife Refuge near Mound City, Missouri Saturday afternoon, March 2, 2025. There were hundreds of thousands of snow geese there and then they were gone. The birds did not leave the area, they actually went off to feed. But it was quite amazing how they all left all of a sudden. What bird made that decision and why at that time, is a mystery to me. When we got back on interstate 29 we saw them feeding in the farm fields.
