Alexander Ovechkin will break Wayne Gretzky's Goal Scoring record of 894 regular season goals probably this season or early next. Is he the greatest Goal scorer ever? I say no he is not and give my reasons as to why I think that. Mainly concentrating on players from the Modern era 1968-2025. So no Gordie Howe, Bobby Hull or Maurice Richard.
