Gene Hackman death update at New Mexico sheriff press conference notes possible date actor died

Legendary actor Gene Hackman and his wife, Betsy Arakawa, were found dead in their Santa Fe, New Mexico home on Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2025. At a press conference providing updates to the investigation, a list of evidence was shared. It included the detail that Hackman's pacemaker recorded the last event recored was on Feb. 17, with Sheriff Adam Mendoza saying it could very well have been Hackman's death date.
