Private Spacecraft Blue Ghost Successfully Lands on the Moon

Blue Ghost, a private lunar lander by Firefly Aerospace, has successfully touched down on the Moon, marking only the second commercial spacecraft to achieve this feat. Launched on January 15, its mission is to explore the Moon’s Sea of Crises.

Unlike Intuitive Machines’ Odysseus, which landed last year but toppled over, Blue Ghost remained intact and responsive, making it the first fully successful private lunar mission.

Experts believe private companies will play a key role in future Moon exploration, helping lower costs and develop technology for sustained lunar missions and space exploration.
