Former Speaker faces Judge!

Former Speaker of the Michigan House was in front of a Judge Friday facing embezzlement charges. Lee Chatfield was Michigan’s House Speaker in 2019 and 2020. In April of 24, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel filed 13 felony charges against Chatfield and two more felony charges against his wife, Stephanie. Prosecutors claim Chatfield used funds from his foundation for his own personal use like trips, meals, and paying off credit cards. The Chatfield’s have plead not guilty to the charges.
