Ukrainian President Zelenskyy came to Washington and overplayed a non-existant hand. Rather than signing a minerals deal as a first step in the peace process, Zelenskyy decided to try to out-negotiate President Trump in front of the American public. It didn't end well.

Predictably, European leaders rushed to console Zelenskyy and promise unwavering support. Of course, the only support that really matters to the outcome of the Russia-Ukraine war is that of President Trump and the United States
