Railnet - Royal Mail's £150m Waste

Today, we look at the history of Railnet, an ambitious scheme developed in 1993 that was meant to assure the long-term future of mail train operations within the UK, but after spending £150m and constructing a brand new range of dedicated depots and rolling stock, this elaborate project was rendered obsolete within 6 years.
