The human immune system is a highly sophisticated and multi-layered defence system that protects the body from infections, diseases, and foreign substances. It comprises specialized cells, tissues, and organs working together to identify and neutralize harmful agents like bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites while maintaining a state of balance to prevent overreaction to harmless substances or the body’s own cells. The immune system is comprised by two main branches Innate called (Non-Specific) Immunity and Adaptive (Specific) Immunity.
