Along the Rock: The Arts Stream - Author Patricia Pessman - Part 2

In this episode of Along the Rock: Arts Stream, host Mark Morris chats with Patricia Pessman, local author, about her book “The Saga of the Lilac Bush: An American Pioneer Narrative.”

The story was inspired by a beautiful lilac bush that Pessman saw growing in 1974 along Route 30, not too far from her home. She discovered that it was planted in 1850 and connected to the stories of pioneers, Native Americans, and the Wild West and was rooted in Illinois. Today, it’s more than 175 years old.
