John Mahama Ousts US Troops
It has taken a very long time, but the new President of Ghana, John Mahama, has demanded that the United States remove all military personnel and equipment immediately and permanently. This adds to the swell of changes in the Sahel of Africa that started with the rise of Ibrahim Traore in Burkina Faso. Other leaders in Africa have been so corrupt that nothing ever changed for the people. Finally, the dominoes are starting to fall. What Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso, and Ghana have achieved in a very short time is serving as a template for many African leaders. The nations of the Sahel have nationalized their resources and terminated contracts with corporations of foreigners. It is time for them to control 100% of their mineral and oil wealth, not the 1% that the corporations allowed. This prepares the way to build modern infrastructure and improved lifestyles for all their citizens.
