Terumah - You, the Tabernacle

Parsha Termuah - Exodus 25:1-27:19, but focusing on Exodus 26.

This is a difficult passage to study and talk about with all of its measurements and counts, but there are some things we can learn about God from looking at the Tabernacle. Since we are made in the image of God, that means there are things we can learn about ourselves too.

The numbers (3, 5, 4, 50, 11, etc.) and the materials (gold, silver, linen, wool, takhash, etc.) are more than just stuff. God chose these materials in particular because they have meaning. The real challenge is to tease the meaning out of Scripture without going completely off the deep end.
