What is going on in the heads of the European political class?

Danish PM Mette Frederiksen said, "Peace in Ukraine is more dangerous than the ongoing war." Since when is war preferable to peace? What is going on in the heads of the European political class? Have they lost their minds, or is there more to it? Why do they all repeat messages contrary to elementary common sense? Is it ever possible that in every century, Europe has to get into a conflict? What madness is this? And I don't want to add here anything about the preposterous absurdity of a country like Denmark talking about war against Russia....
