“EASILY OFFENDED” VERSUS RIGHTEOUS ANGER
Proverbs 14:29 New King James Version
29 He who is slow to wrath has great understanding,
But he who is [a]impulsive exalts folly.
GOOD EVENING IN YESHUA MY PRECIOUS ONES!!!
To say that I needed this morning scripture would be an understatement, because I have had numerous instances, where I have been offended by someone's actions, but most of all, I've responded in ways in many instances, that weren't honoring to the Lord, and I had to go to the Lord and seek His forgiveness which He so wonderfully gives. I've had to ask the Lord on so many occasions to help me do what James says, as well as this verse above, to be slow to wrath, and think first before I speak or do anything dishonoring to the Lord it's not funny!
I think that's why these questions from this morning’s devotional are really challenging my heart right now, and I felt that of the Lord to share them with you today. Please read these questions very carefully and ask God to speak to your heart through them too.
When were you offended by someone’s actions?
When is it the right thing to overlook an offense?
Tonight, my friends, I'd like to share some things that God has been showing me, not just from this morning scripture but from other precious passages from God's Word on this very issue, through this vlog I'd like to share with all of you tonight, and I pray that what I share with you, encourages you to seek God for wisdom and discretion and how you respond to the seeming slights from others. Come join me in this vlog tonight my friends, and learn how to not sweat the petty offenses, while still taking a stance and righteous anger over GENUINE sin! 😊
So, my friends, as I close this post with all of you tonight, I want to challenge you to really think about these questions out of this morning's devotional but also consider the things that God's word has to say on this matter, and act on them. What I mean in this, guys is to ask yourself concerning a perceived slight, is this something to get over, and not take offense to, or is this a legit, real sin, that you may need to call out? Katara was very correct, when she said, “Choosing not to get offended and learning to “control [our closed bracket temper” (V.11 NLT) Can bring great honor.” Yes, it's gonna require a lot of patience, but I believe a lot of seeking God for wisdom and discernment over the situation. This is something I pray for myself every day, and I hope that you do for yourself too.
