Intuitive Machines-2 Lunar Landing

Witness the lunar touchdown of Intuitive Machines’ Nova-C lander, named Athena, as it descends onto the Moon’s surface. Athena is set to land at Mons Mouton, a plateau near the lunar South Pole, where it will deploy NASA’s scientific and technological payloads. The landing is scheduled for no earlier than 12:32 p.m. EST (1732 UTC).
The NASA technology on board will showcase resource utilization by analyzing lunar soil for potential volatiles or gases, while also establishing a fixed reference point on the Moon for future missions.
