During the launch of SpaceX's Starlink Group 12-20 mission on Sunday, March 2, the Falcon 9 first stage booster, tail number B1086, landed on the droneship, 'Just Read the Instructions,' but then suffered a fire that led to its destruction.
The loss of B1086 led to a temporary fleet grounding that was lifted on March 4. SpaceX said it is taking the learnings from this mishap "to make Falcon even more reliable on ascent and landing."
