Republic vs Democracy

Cliff Notes: The United States is a Constitutional Federalist REPUBLIC, or just REPUBLIC for short. The Republican Party is maned so because it stands for adherence to the Constitution and the Founding Father's original intent. We are not in any shape or form a democracy. Democracies are mob-rule; where 51% can tyrannize the other 49%, with no protections for the 49%. Republics, on the other hand, are the rule of Law over the rule of mobs. Of course, a Republic can only be as just as its Laws, and THAT is where our US Constitution and Bill of Rights makes ALL the difference.
