How She Changed a Simple Violation into Felony

Police officers were on routine patrol, and and observed a female smoking an unknown substance. When the subject saw the patrol vehicle, she made furtive movements to conceal the item she smoked. The officer gave lawful orders to see what she was attempting to conceal, but she threw the unknown substance. She then turned her head and intentionally spat directly into the officer’s face.

When the officers attempted to detain her, she began resisting, and was placed under arrest. The subject made allusions to having AIDS while still on scene and in the booking area, she openly stated that she has Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C.
