Tandoori Chicken Recipe
Ingredients:
• 4 chicken legs (or thighs)
• 1 cup yogurt
• 2 tbsp lemon juice
• 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
• 1 tsp turmeric
• 1 tbsp red chili powder (adjust to taste)
• 1 tbsp garam masala
• 1 tbsp cumin powder
• 1 tbsp coriander powder
• 1 tsp salt
• 2 tbsp oil or melted butter
• Red food color (optional)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the marinade: Mix yogurt, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, and all the spices in a bowl. Add a few drops of red food color if desired.
2. Marinate the chicken: Make deep cuts in the chicken and coat it with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours (overnight for best results).
3. Cooking options:
• Oven: Preheat to 400°F (200°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway. Broil for 5 minutes for a charred effect.
• Grill: Cook on medium heat for 20-25 minutes, turning occasionally.
• Stovetop: Use a grill pan and cook on medium heat for 20 minutes, flipping until cooked through.
4. Serve hot with lemon wedges, onion rings, and mint chutney!
