Russian missile strikes kill at least 20 across Ukraine

Russia’s onslaught in Ukraine continued Friday overnight with several missile strikes across the neighbouring nation. At least 20 people were killed and dozens of others injured.

In eastern Donetsk, 11 people — including children — were killed. In the Kharkiv region, nine fatalities were reported.

The attacks come less than a day after Russia hit Ukrainian energy facilities with another barrage of missiles and drones.

Following a heated exchange at the White House involving U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelenskyy last week, the U.S. paused all military aid to Kyiv. They will, however, reconvene next week in a second attempt to establish peace talks with Russia.
