🔴 Genesis 16 - Verses 1-6 - Hagar and Ishmael

Genesis 16 tells the story of Sarai’s impatience with God’s promise, leading her to give her maid, Hagar, to Abram to bear a child. After Hagar becomes pregnant, tension rises between her and Sarai, causing Hagar to flee into the wilderness. The angel of the Lord appears to Hagar, telling her to return and submit, while also promising that her son, Ishmael, will become a great nation. This chapter reveals God’s compassion, as Hagar calls Him ‘The God Who Sees Me’ (El-Roi).
