The Eagle Empire of 2nd Esdras - A Last Days Prophecy

The Book of 2nd Esdras in the 1611 King James Apocrypha is said to be an extension of the writings of Esdras. This Esdras is said to be the same as Ezra the Scribe from the Old Testament Book of Ezra, yet 2nd Esdras is a prophetic book concerning the end of the ages which involves the coming of the Messiah to judge the earth. Whereas, Ezra's writings in the Old Testament are a historical account of Israel during their exile in Persia.

The book of 2nd Esdras, Chapters 11-12, tell of a final Satanic Eagle Government with various Kings reigning over it, much like the Parabolic Dreams seen in Daniel Chapter 2 and Daniel Chapters 7-8. In addition, we see this same final Beast Kingdom represented as a 7 Headed Dragon in Revelation 12, a 7 Headed Beast from the Sea in Revelation 13, and a Scarlet Beast with 7 Heads in Revelation 17.

Revelation 17:9-13 KJV — And here is the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth. And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, and the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space. And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition. And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast.
