Real Love

When we 'look upon the one we pierced' we are healed - just as with the bronze serpent in the wilderness. Jesus is high and lifted up.
This is the cure for our shallowness. It's not strange to admit it because our flesh is not only shallow but at war with our spirit. When we eat his body and drink his blood (take that any way the Lord plainly shows you) we are properly humbled. This isn't a religion it is a relationship. And Jesus say it simply. Accept it simply as God shows you: John 6:53-56
"Jesus said to them, 'Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them.'"
