Aleksandr Gelyevich Dugin (b. 1962) Russian philosopher and public activist. Founder of Russian geopolitical school and Eurasian Movement. Dugin is consider as one of most important exponent of modern Russian conservative thought in the line of slavophiles. Dugin is doctor of Sociology and of Political sciences, PhD of Philosophy. During 6 years (2008 – 2014) was the head of Department of Sociology of International Relations in Sociological Faculty of Moscow State University.

Author of more than 40 books. The influence of Dugin’s thought on modern days Russia (including political leaders) recognize not only his followers but as well his philosophical and political opponents. The ideas of Dugin are sometimes judged controversial or nonconformist but almost all agree that they are inspiring and original.
