I really miss that club. Southampton has some really fine musicians and a lovely music scene that helped me feel right at home when I found myself relocated there.

This is a rare recording of me on tenor playing what I believe is one of the most beautiful songs ever written, by the great American composer Duke Ellington

not only was I trying to honor the spirits of John Coltrane and Duke, but also, I was very much inspired by the version I heard in the late 1990s of the US Air Force's elite jazz orchestra, "The Airmen of Note" and the killer tenor solo by an unnamed player
