Debunking the “97% of scientists agree on climate change” myth | CERES Podcast Clips

In this clip from Episode 1 of the CERES Podcast, the CERES team leaders (Dr. Willie Soon, Dr. Ronan Connolly & Dr. Michael Connolly) take a deep dive into the origins of the claim that “97% of scientists agree on climate change”.
They show how and why the sausage of the “97% scientific consensus” claim was created. They then systematically go through the key studies that have claimed this and comprehensively demolish the claims.
They show the real “consensus” only is that 97% of scientists agree that “climate changes”. When you think about it, that’s actually a much less compelling or interesting claim – indeed, it’s something that the CERES team agrees with – the climate changes, and it always has. The CERES team have published multiple peer-reviewed papers on climate change (https://www.ceres-science.com/publications) – if there was no climate change, that would be a waste of time.
In terms of the trickier problem of figuring out what are the causes of these climate changes, the various surveys actually reveal that there is actually a lot of disagreement over how much is due to human activity vs. natural factors.
