Civilians are in tears of joy as Russian troops reclaim the city. Months of occupation are over, and the enemy is retreating. Our forces now control the city center and private sector, pushing deeper as resistance crumbles.
War correspondents are already at the stele, able to film freely without fear of enemy fire. Locals express pure relief, with one woman saying she only wishes the occupiers had been expelled sooner. Another man, overcome with emotion, simply says he is happy.
Looted stores, stolen food, and mocking occupiers are all that remains of the retreating enemy—but now, they are gone. Sudzha is home again.
