Steele at Waterloo - log drag - Stand-Stay 7 March 2025

Steele is a 4yr old blue roan gelding. In this video I start out explaining prep work done ahead of time to get Steele ready to do a dally and drag of a log on this ride. Please do NOT attempt to dally up without instruction - you can loose a thumb real easy if you do it wrong - many people have. It also requires a stout built saddle made to handle roping work - you may jerk the horn right off a saddle which isn't built stout enough for roping work if you dally up and drag something heavy.

Training horses always involves some risk of injury (or even death) to the horse, the trainer, any spectators, equipment used, etc. - this risk is totally your own as you will be making your own judgements on what to do.
