Tequila found this out when the Rockledge Public Safety Department in Florida responded to a call from a local credit union on November 16th, 2023. She was in for a rude awakening, thinking her scheme had succeeded.

Elma believed she could use identity theft to walk away with a pocket full of cash. However, on January 17th, 2024, the quick response from the Coral Springs Police in Florida exposed her scheme, showing once again that crime doesn’t pay.

Fraudsters are known for their cunning tactics, always seeking to manipulate the system for personal gain. In New Mexico on December 21st, 2023, Ashley Boral tried to deceive a bank using a false identity, hoping to cash a large check before Christmas. Her scheme, however, was quickly uncovered by the Albuquerque Police.

Fraudsters will try every trick in the book to evade law enforcement, but the Hall County Sheriff's deputies used their own tactics for an effective sting operation. In the state of Georgia on September 9th, 2022, their swift action led to the capture of a group of racketeers.
