Is The Tales From The Crypt "Lower Berth" Episode Comic Accurate?

I did a short video recently where I mentioned that I was surprised that there was an episode of Tales From The Crypt that gave the Crypt Keeper an origin story. A number of comment told me that it was ripped from the original comic. I decided to take a look at that issue and see how it compares to the TV show.
