This podcast tells six stories of Jesus in which he says the unexpected, things even some theologians find shocking. There is a story about the 1) tax fish, 2) the astonishing catch of fish, 3) the cursed fig tree, 4) the overturning by Jesus of two religious ideas about the dead 1) the idea that once a person died, their existence ceased, 2) the idea that the righteous dead would be restored to life in the future. 5) Then there is Jesus’ prayer to avoid death on the cross (not dicussed much in Christian churches), and finally 6) a scaring warning Jesus gives about God’s power.
