GTA: Vice City - The Definitive Edition | Mission #13: THE CHASE

After dealing with the ambush during the arms deal, Tommy Vercetti receives a phone call from Ricardo Diaz. The volatile drug lord thanks Tommy for having his back and mentions that Colonel Cortez has vouched for him as "the real deal." Diaz complains about being surrounded by idiots and urges Tommy to visit him, promising to make him rich. Tommy takes him up on the offer and heads to Diaz’s mansion, where he finds the crime boss intensely watching a horse race. When the race doesn’t go his way, Diaz explodes in rage, kicking his television and cursing the losing horse. Still fuming, he barely acknowledges Tommy at first before snapping at him. Without much preamble, Diaz gets to the point: someone in his organization has been skimming money from him. To Diaz, stealing even 3% is as bad as stealing everything. He orders Tommy to track the traitor from his apartment and find out where he goes. Tommy, unfazed by Diaz’s aggressive tone, accepts the job.

Following Diaz’s orders, Tommy heads to the thief’s apartment in Vice Point. The place is empty, but Tommy soon spots his target attempting to flee. The man panics and scrambles to the rooftop, opening fire with a Ruger to slow Tommy down. As bullets fly, Tommy dodges the shots and gives chase across the rooftops while the gangster taunts him. Eventually, the thief reaches street level and jumps into a BF Injection, speeding off. Tommy quickly follows, tailing him through the streets until he arrives at an abandoned mansion on Prawn Island. With the traitor’s hideout now exposed, Tommy has all the information he needs. The next step will be settling the score—on Diaz’s terms.
