It Rained So Much My Sand Bag Turned Into A Rock!!

Well, this first time to the range at Ninnekah, OK ended up raining so much that my support bag's sand turned into a rock on me!
First time I had that happen, lol.
I got to the range on time and just as we were getting signed up, it started raining. And it never stopped!
They cut the match from 8 stages down to 6. Then before we started the first one, cut it down to 5. It was actually that miserable outside that quickly.
Wind blowing and we were right around 30 degrees with the wind chill.
I did not set up my other camera, it would have been ruined.
Most of my gear got soaked. My rifle and ammo, my rifle bag, my support bag. It was the worse conditions I have ever tried to shoot in, and being my first time at this place, I was just not on for this match.
I finally realized I was consistent in my misses. Started correcting by aiming down and left. Got a few hits, but not nearly as many as I could have.

This is why you don't tweak things right before a match and not take the time to verify those changes!! I totally did this to myself, I think. The weather was a definite detriment to my performance. As you know with me through the winter, I do really bad when my hands get cold. This was just like January and February. Body was too cold, and then I was a bit off on my data!

I still had fun and met some new people. I will be going back in April and now that I have seen the place, I can focus on my shooting only instead of learning the layout as well. That helps settle my brain a lot.
Next up my local match, then in 1 week another Saturday match at Clinton! Another new location for me!!
