Are you an HSP who's been told you have ADD? You might be surprised what's really happening.

Highly Sensitive People (HSPs) often get mislabeled with attention disorders. Many struggle when asked to multitask or handle too many demands at once. Doctors often prescribe stimulant medications, but these can make things worse for sensitive people.

Nikki Eisenhauer shares her experience with stimulants. Instead of helping, they made her irritable, aggressive, and overstimulated.

Dr. Judith Orloff, a psychiatrist and HSP, teaches that sensitive people usually need much smaller medication doses. A fraction of the standard amount can be enough.

You can advocate for your needs by clearly communicating your sensitivity to healthcare providers. Standard treatments aren't always right for HSPs.
