Google Maps: Get Where Ya Gotta Go, Eventually

Being a stand-up comedian means I drive for a living, which means Google Maps is a good friend of mine.

I use Google Maps to get here, there, everywhere.

I even use them when I know exactly where I’m going, because I like to race the estimate, and see how much I can beat it by.

But, Google Maps isn’t always the best.

Yes, it’s better than Apple Maps, and though Wayze is popular, I found it too riddled with ads.

But Google Maps, as shown in this video, has issues.

At the end of this tale, I tell a lie, for comedic effect.

Truth is, I have no clue why Google tried to give me a one hour plus route for a destination that was literally across the street.

Maybe I confused Google, given that the location was so close.

No clue.

Either way, I did not end up using Google’s directions for this particular trip.

Or, if we’re being accurate, walk.
