#187 - Illegal JVP Protest Shuts Down Trump Tower Lobby

Jewish Voice for Peace (JVP): JVP is a progressive Jewish activist group in the U.S. that advocates for Palestinian rights and opposes Israeli policies. On March 13, 2025, they illegally protested inside Trump Tower, New York, demanding the release of Mahmoud Khalil, a Columbia University student and pro-Palestinian activist detained on immigration charges. Police arrested several demonstrators after they flooded the lobby.
Also, Russia-Ukraine Ceasefire is a possibility. As of March 13, 2025, a U.S.-proposed 30-day ceasefire has gained traction, with Ukraine agreeing after talks in Saudi Arabia on March 11. The U.S. has resumed aid to Ukraine, pressuring Russia to accept. Putin has expressed openness but raised concerns about enforcement and Ukrainian regrouping, setting conditions like territorial recognition. Trump’s envoy is in Moscow, and while a ceasefire seems closer, a full end to the war remains uncertain due to deep mistrust and Russia’s strategic demands.
