Planet of the Vampires (1965)

Directed by Mario Bava. The story follows the crews of two spaceships responding to a distress signal from a mysterious planet. Upon landing, they find themselves under the control of an unseen force that turns them against each other.
Known for its eerie atmosphere, bold use of color, and nightmarish visuals, the film is a major influence on later sci-fi horror, including Alien (1979).
