This session, “A Conversation with Bill and Gayle Newman,” marks the first time that The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza has participated in the annual JFK Lancer conference. Curator Stephen Fagin moderated a discussion with Bill and Gayle Newman, the closest civilian eyewitnesses to President Kennedy at the moment of the fatal shot. Standing on the north side of Elm Street, the Newmans fell to the ground and shielded their two young children."
