Team Profiles: Set G Episode 2: Baxcalibur DW Necrozma

Episode 2 of Team Profiles: Set G will be about Baxcalibur Necrozma.

Baxcalibur is a Dragon-Ice psuedo-legendary Pokemon introduced in Scarlet and Violet with the abilities Ice Body and Thermal Exchange. Thermal Exchange is a signature ability that increases Baxcalibur's attack by one stage when hit by a Fire-type move and prevents it from being burned. This allows it to be played in a multitude of ways. For example, you can run a defensive Tera typing on it with Ice Body, or an offensive Tera typing on it with Thermal Exchange. This video will be covering the latter.

Comboed with a restricted midrange Pokemon, Baxcalibur can pick apart threats and set up favourable boardstates so that when its restricted comes in, it can thrive. This is the goal with this team. The restricted for this team is Dawn Wings Necrozma, which is a Psychic-Ghost Legendary Pokemon introduced in Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. Dawn Wings Necrozma, alongside its counterparts Dusk Mane Necrozma and Ultra Necrozma, were designed to deal devastating amounts of damage to whatever Pokemon it hit. However, this damage is single target, and so, to compensate for that, they have powerful typings, powerful stats and a powerful ability, Prism Armor, that nullifies response to them.

Paired with a midrange meta Pokemon, they can thrive. This is the angle for this team.
